The brief was to extensively renovate a 45 year old villa that had been rented out with very little care to management and maintenance over many years.  The villa is in a perfect location 300m from the beach facing south, with living room, kitchen and dining room upstairs to take full advantage of the view to the ocean.  The property had “perfect bones” so a massive refurbishment was a wise investment.  Working with skilled local trades the works included a new roof, new bathrooms and kitchen with key internal walls replaced with tinted glass.  The brief also included sourcing new beds, bedding and furniture in the dining room and living room.  The terraces were planted to incorporate orange, lime and lemon trees, with outdoor dining furniture, sofas and a wall mounted pergola, to take full advantage of the Portuguese climate.
